children

On Sunday mornings, children and youth are welcome to stay in the service as long as they want. We believe God delights in the beautiful chaos that happens when kids are around and we welcome that too. We have things like coloring and fidgets if they need something to keep them stimulated during the sermon.

However, if you're looking for an even more kid-friendly experience, many families choose to have children in the sanctuary for the first half of service, and then head to the Kids Room before the sermon begins. Parents can check in their little ones up to 4 years and K-4th graders starting at 10:15am until the end of the service. All our Kids Room volunteers are trained, background checked and strive to make Central an inclusive space for neurotypical and neurodivergent children.

youth

During worship, when our children are invited to head to the Kids Room, junior high youth are also invited to hang in the next room with our youth director, Chad, for bible study. Occasionally, the youth meet outside of Sundays for fun events like hiking at Brazos Bend State Park, tie dye parties, bowling, roller skating and more!

Central's youth group is inclusive and affirming for kids of all genders, sexualities,  and races; neurotypical and neurodivergent.
