Central relies on outside groups to provide food for lunch on Tuesday and Thursday, and breakfast on Sunday morning. We only serve meals when donations and volunteers allow. Check out our calendar here for more info on what days groups are planning to provide food.

showers
At Central, folks can sign up for a timeslot to take a shower once a day on Tuesday, Thursday from 7am - 1pm and Sundays from 7 - 10am.
laundry
You can use our laundry machines at Central to wash one load of clothes a week on a Tuesday or Thursday between 7am and 12:30pm. Don't worry about bringing quarters or detergent. We've got it covered.
clothes and hygiene products
The Clothes Closet at Central is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8am - 10am for folks to come through and pick out an outfit, get necessities like underwear and socks and hygiene products like tooth paste, deodorant, razors and more.
bike repair
Central Bike volunteers come by on Tuesdays from 10am - 1pm to fix flat tires, broken brakes twisted chains, and sometimes more intense repairs. If you don't have a bike, you can earn one through our Earn a Bike program by completing some community service volunteering around the church and around Galveston.
homegoods freestore
Central's free homegoods store is open Tuesdays from 8am - 12pm for folks to come through and pick out dishes and kitchen gadgets, linens, lamps, and even art for the walls of their new home.
medical care
Uninsured and underinsured community members can access free general medical care through Grace Clinic, which operates upstairs at Central on Thursdays from 8am - 10am.
